Thank you for your support of CBMC DFW and the ministry of Phil Carlson in 2025!

Here are just some of the things your financial support has helped to make happen this year:

  • Trusted Advisor Forums (TAF)

After rapid growth in our TAF groups in 2024, we had to focus on health and continued growth of membership in those groups. We entered 2025 with one strong group with full membership and three very small groups struggling to grow. By the end of 2025 after some rearranging of membership and meeting locations we finished with 3 groups full of members (Frisco, Denton, and North Dallas), with all of them showing signs of continued growth plus much more growth to come. We also gained 2 new trained volunteer facilitators helping to run the North Dallas and Frisco TAF groups.

  • Connect3 groups meeting in Arlington, Frisco and one new one in Pilot Point!

Every week, businessmen meet in these morning groups experiencing edification, equipping, and empowerment towards being ambassadors for Christ in the marketplace. These groups also serve as onramps for men getting plugged in to our various other offerings and events.

  • 1-on-1 Discipleship

Not only has Phil been taking men through CBMC’s Operation Timothy discipleship process, but together our leadership team is helping to activate Christian businessmen to be disciple-makers themselves. Here is a video testimony of one man impacted by this process.

  • Impact Circle

In partnership with a local church (the Frisco campus of Genuine Faith Community Church), we had the first one of these events in 2024. We did three more in 2025 with each one having a special speaker and networking as an opportunity for outreach and an onramp for many to get involved with CBMC locally. A number of men have gotten connected into local CBMC groups through these!

  • Quarterly Prayer Meetings (Marketplace in the Metroplex Prayer Meetings)

God responds to prayer, and knowing that we started quarterly in-person prayer meetings. Over the course of 2025 we had three in-person prayer meetings with growing attendance and participation of men from the Dallas-Fort Worth marketplace praying for one another, the ministry, their families, the lost, and the church.

A Major Moment of Transition: On the second day of CBMC’s national conference in St. Louis, MO in October of 2024, David Meyers (left), the president of CBMC honored Stan Bower (center), Senior Area Director of CBMC DFW, for his nearly 28 years of service as an Area Director. Stan’s wife, Laura Bower (right), joined him on stage during this announcement. David Meyers also announced Stan’s forthcoming transition out of that role beginning January 1st, 2025. As part of the prepared remarks that Stan delivered following that announcement, Stan publicly announced that Phil Carlson would be his successor in stewarding the Dallas-Fort Worth ministry of CBMC beginning in 2025. Stan retired from his role of Area Director of Dallas-Fort Worth January 31st, 2025 and went on to found another ministry, The Entrust Network.

Plans for Expansion and Growth in 2026 in order of priority:

  • Launch more men currently going through the Operation Timothy process into becoming “Pauls,” taking on men that they begin leading through the Operation Timothy discipleship process.

  • Train 4+ current CBMC members to become volunteer group facilitators for Trusted Advisor Forums groups to free up staff to focus on more group launches and growth.

  • Train volunteer facilitators for our Connect3 teams meeting in Frisco, Arlington, and Pilot Point to free up resources to start new groups dedicated to empower and deploy men as ambassadors for Christ in the workplace.

  • Build on the success of Impact Circle and raise up volunteer leaders to grow the number of events and locations.

  • Recruit 20 more men to be Trusted Advisor Forum group members and launch two more Trusted Advisor Forum groups.

  • Re-launch Young Professionals groups in a new format to increase the longevity and reach of these groups. Here is a testimony of one man impacted by his visit to a DFW Young Professionals Group. Here is the story of another man whose visit to a YP group became the starting point for a work of God in his life.

You Can Help

None of this is possible without the faithful prayers and financial support of many individuals, companies and organizations. Your gift, whether a one-time gift or a recurring gift to support Phil Carlson in his work as a CBMC Area Director in Dallas-Fort Worth is tax deductible when you click the button below.

Consider This:

The reality is that the harvest is plentiful, the laborers are few (Matt. 9:37), and while the Gospel is offered without charge (1 Cor. 9:18), this work has a financial cost (1 Cor. 9:7,14). Even the apostle Paul’s ministry was sustained through the generosity of others (Phil. 4:16-18), whose concern was eternal riches (Phil. 4:17, Matt. 6:19-21), and who through their giving, were counted as co-laborers with Paul (3 John 8). If you are considering making a gift, please determine how much to give in your heart without compulsion or begrudgingly, but with joy (2 Cor 9:6-7) recognizing all that you have is a gift from God in the first place (1 Chron 29:14).

THANK YOU!

Your generous gifts are changing men’s lives RIGHT NOW.
